Six questions brands ask us behind closed doors

Every couple of months we go back through the calls we've had with brands and pull out the questions that keep coming up. Not the questions people post publicly. The ones they ask when there's no audience.

This week's episode is six of them:

How do you actually stop an agency blowing your ad budget (and who's liable when they do)?

If you're not allowed to discount because of your wholesale relationships, can Amazon still work?

Resellers have taken your listings. How do you get them back?

Should you pay to defend your own brand name?

Vendor or seller?

Amazon won't let you send in enough stock. Now what?

We answer all six properly, including the one small brand registry setting that trips up almost everyone who thinks they've done it right.

One thing worth flagging before you go, because it's the most expensive mistake on the list.

If you're running Meta or TikTok and you're not visible on Amazon when people search your name afterwards, you haven't run a brand campaign. You've run one for your competitor. They'll take the search, the click and the sale, and you'll pay for the privilege.

Amazon will even show you the percentage you're losing. Most brands never look.

And if one of these questions is sitting on your desk right now, reply and tell us. Half of this episode came from brands doing exactly that.
